About Aaron Haase

Photography to me is a little different then what other people make it out to be. I enjoy finding the beauty in everyday life, the beauty that is already in front of you, but you don't see. To me, photography is not about changing something to make it look nice, or adding an element to the picture, but making the picture the element in the first place. That is why most of the pictures you see on this site are of nature and none of them are posed or placed to create the image.

As for me, photography is a hobby; my true passion is making movies (as you can see, cinematography is my strong point). Currently, I am a Camera Salesman at Best Buy, and am working my way up to Los Angeles, CA to go to film school. I have taken photography classes through community college but have picked up the majority of my eye from making movies for years.

All pictures taken on this site were taken with a Sony α200 DSLR. For some reason, people always make bad comments about Sony DSLRs and some have even gone far enough to say that I am not a photographer because I use one. I try to constantly remind them, and everyone else, that it is not the camera, it is the cameraman. You can use any camera you want to take a good picture; it's just how you use it that matters.
